Do Not Skip Leg Day
Did you know legs are the strongest muscle in your body? Meaning it's essential to do legs twice a week if you can. The benefit of doing legs are: bigger muscle overall. Yes it is possible to work your upper body without doing legs, however your body will look disproportional. Essentially speaking legs will built your overall body to faster and better results. Compound workouts are essential in growing muscles, they are the must-do exercises every week. Squats is considered a compound exercise. In this blog, I will show you the positioning of your stance, why squat barefooted, and how low should you go.
In this photo, my partner will demonstrate briefly about what I am talking about. The recommendation for stance is to go shoulder-width. Some people go wide and some people go narrow, but I usually recommend whatever your body feels comfortable. Squat while barefoot has its pro: it keeps the level of your feet parallel to the floor. The shoes that we common wear to the gym often has cushion in it thus making our feet comfortable. You will also experience some kind of discomfort especially when going heavy. There is a saying that "the lower, the better." I strongly disagree with that. The position going down is a little above half way and drive as you go up. Doing six - seven sets will be enough to satisfy your legs.
