On this post I want to talk about some type of workouts and which ones we should start with. The most important part of these workouts are the warm ups, these are not regular warm ups where all you do is stretch, on these ones you will do some exercises but at a slower pace, so your body gets used to the following exercises on the workout. One of the easiest exercises that you could do anywhere are box jumps. All you need is a box or bench kind of high, and the exercise will consist on jumping from the ground level with both feet at the same time and land on the box. The pace and technique on this exercise is important for better benefits. Rowing ergometer is another exercise that professional CrossFit athletes used to get in shape and do cardio while working their abs and arms. It seems easy but the technique is also important to n...

Back is one of my favorite body part to work on, just having a thick back gives me the satisfaction. One muscle that involves working on back is your lats. You ever walk by and see a person with a wide lats? To a point that it looks like a cobra's head or angel wings coming out of your body. Snacking

Image
Sometimes throughout the day you may find that you feel hungry in between meals. It is totally normal to want to snack, BUT it is important to know that our snacking habits often add too many calories and too few nutrients to our diets. It does not have to be this way, and i'll tell you how! Eating snacks with the correct nutrients and calories will help to keep your body energized and aid in losing weight. Pair it with some protein and its even more satisfying! Cottage cheese filled avocado:...

Keep Drinking Water! It's Great For You!

My mother always told me when I was young to drink two - to - three gallons of water everyday. My first day of attempting that was bad, my teachers thought I was skipping class time by heading into the bathroom. Another thing she said that it would cleanse my body and get rid of acne, my family would always roast me about it. It wasn't until my middle school year did I know the significant of drinking gallons of water every day. Our body is made up of 80% water, therefore it is within our natural to continue drinking water throughout the day. Drinking water maintains the balance of body fluids such as digestion, body temperature, absorption, and transportation of nutrients. Now you do NOT  want to chug water all the time, but slowly consume water throughout the day.  It also makes your acne go away and make your skin healthier. Therefore the overall message is drinking two - to - three gallons of water is healthy of your overall body. FUN FACT: In Tom Brady's, The TB12 Me...

WORKOUT & DIET

Image
One of the most common questions people ask personal trainers is how to lose that body fat that even with cardio or hours at the gym seems impossible to lose it. The first mistake people would do is to work out more hours than what their body can actually do, pushing them to their limits and sometimes this cause health problem instead of helping them.  When you work out you have to be smart and know your body. Not all of us can lift the same weight or run at the same pace, therefore, control your patience and set a goal in the long run rather than in the short run because this usually never works.  The importance of eating healthy and having a diet is commonly forgotten. Personal trainers recommend you eat more when you are working out on a regular basis and this is when the diet gains his importance. Eating less does not mean you will lose weight. The benefits of eating 5 times per day:      More energy       Less hunger   ...
